A Gallery of Glitches

Currently (as of October 23rd) the HCC Media Wall at UMW is showing a gallery of "glitch art" produced by students in DGST 301A: Creative Coding.

These works employ a variety of methods including databending, pixelsorting, and datamoshing to transform ordinary photographs and videos into serendipitously surreal, procedurally painterly masterpieces by processing images with audio software or using code to sort all of the pixels of an image into gradated rows or columns.

For more information about the class, including more samples of student work, visit the class website.
